Pride Month 2021

Normally, every year in June, Pride Month is marked with parades, parties and protests to commemorate the anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall riots. But as we know, 2020 and 2021 have been anything but normal!

The 2020 parade was sadly cancelled, and the 2021 parade will be very different to those we have seen before. The usual summer Pride in London parade will take place on 11th September 2021. The theme will be based on Pride in London’s values of Visibility, Unity and Equality.

The switch to September means the parade will be taking place outside of Pride Month, but Pride is not isolated to one day, nor one parade. There will still be many events to celebrate the LGTBQ+ community, and to learn, discuss and campaign around a range of issues, and to help raise awareness and promote equality.

Check out our partner networks page, LINK, for some insurance focused events as their mission ‘is to make the insurance industry the employer of choice for the LGBTQ+ community.
